Anastasia Beverly Hills Custom Contour Refills/Palette

After much waiting, I finally got my hands on my custom contour kit!

With 6 refills you get the empty palette for a total of $40 and free shipping.

The entire kit comes packaged in plastic cases individually.
I chose a total of 6 colors ranging mostly from cool-dark under tones.
Here's what the front of the palette looks like.

The palette is magnetized and only contains 6 empty slots.
Hopefully Anastasia will make a bigger palette to fit more colors in the future.
The colors I chose are:  Banana, Vanilla, and Peachy for the top row.
The texture is not chalky at all and feel very creamy and smooth to the touch.
The second row of colors are:  Macchiato, Havana, and Earth.
This row of shades are a mixture of cool and warm undertones.
The size of the pan up close. This color is Peachy.
The pans are magnetized and labeled with the names of colors on the back.

The shades Peachy and Macchiato are labeled as highlighters.
The rest of the colors are labeled just as contour powders.
Overall, I'm very happy with my custom contour kit by Anastasia Beverly Hills.
The powders glide onto my skin so silky and smooth and they blend like a dream.

I created this look today and used the shade Havana as my crease color.

So you don't have to use these powders just on the face. They work great as eye shadows!
I used the shade Peachy as my blush for this look.

To set my under eye concealer and to highlight my face, I used Banana.
To highlight the tops of my cheekbones and my nose, I used Vanilla.

For the rest of my contour, I mixed Macchiato and Earth to create some depth on my face.

I love my palette!

Maybelline New York The Nudes Palette

$9.98
This palette contains 12 nude, cool-toned eyeshadows with matte and shimmer shades.
Based on the description, you can get 13 different looks with these shadows.
I did a soft look using all of the shimmer shades in the palette.

I also used the matte cream shade (3rd from top) for the crease and brow bone.

I paired the eye look with bold lashes and liner with a plum lip liner.
Here I used all of the deep matte shades and the golds for a smokey look.
Make sure to use a matte base to prevent the shadows from looking muddy.

I also used the same colors on the bottom lash line with long wispy lashes.

You can create any look with this palette. Pair it with any wine lipstick for Fall!

What are your thoughts?

August Favorites-2014

Monthly Favorites-August

Hi Everyone!  So I decided to share a few of my favorite things that I loved for the month of August.

This silky powder controls the shine in my t-zone and never looks cakey no matter how much I use.
I've had this compact for a year now and I still haven't hit pan yet!
It's been 100 degrees all summer everyday and this keeps the oil at bay.

I love using this creamy color to highlight anywhere on my face.
It has a soft beige shimmer w/o any glitter and it lasts all day long.
If you have a tan, this won't look ashy on the skin at all.

Summer is winding down but you can have a subtle glow all year long with this eyeshadow.

This blush never fails me. I use it with a smokey or natural look.
It blends into the skin perfectly and you will never look like a clown.

It's a beautiful peachy pink with a hint of coral and is a perfect color for Fall coming up!

I can not get enough of these lip paints, especially the color baby doll.
This is a flirty pink color that's not too overpowering and it stays glossy all day.
I love the minty fresh feeling of this color without drying out my lips.

It does not bleed and transfer all over my lips.

If you got your hands on this palette, I'm sure you love it like I do.
I can do so many eyeshadow looks from day-night or every season.

All the colors are so pigmented and blend like a dream.

I love using this product to contour my face.
It's a creamy stick foundation in the deepest shade.
I use it as a base under my powder contour shade.
It blends like a dream on my skin and never looks orange or ashy.
This foundation stays put all day w/o disappearing on my skin.

If you don't want to buy the Bobbi Brown foundation stick to contour, try this and you will love it!

I hope you enjoyed my August favorites. What are your holy grail products?

xo,
Sharlene.
