Kat Von D Everlasting Love Liquid Lipstick

The shade shown here is called Berlin. It's labeled as a warm rose color.  I would describe it as a coral with a hint of a red undertone.  

This product is supposed to be a long wearing, full coverage liquid lipstick and it has a matte finish.

The formula has also been updated from the previous liquid lipsticks in Kat's line.

Here is just one swipe of the product.

Before I applied Berlin, I moisturized my lips with Carmex Lip Balm.  As you can see, I have very pigmented lips (excuse my awkward expression).

This is just one application. It went on a bit streaky at first.

This was the 2nd application and the product went on smooth like a creamy gloss. There is a hint of shine.

Here I let the product dry completely. 

My lips felt a bit sticky but I did not press my lips together. I just let the liquid lipstick do its thing.

Just after one hour of application. My lips felt a bit dry.

After a total of 1.5 hours, the liquid lipstick was not completely budge-proof.

After 2 hours of wear, the lines on my lips were more visible. I had to take the stuff off because my lips felt so dry. So this was not as moisturizing as I thought. It did leave a faint stain on my lips.

This color is so gorgeous and it's pretty long wearing but totally not budge proof. If you like the look of matte lips, then this liquid lipstick is totally for you. However, I didn't like the dry feel it gave my lips and they looked dehydrated and not as smooth as the first application.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Palette

The latest palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills is in collaboration with a popular blogger on Instagram named Amra Olevic.

The top row contains 5 shimmery (non chunky/glittery) shades and 5 matte shades on the bottom row.

Top Row:

Legend, Glisten, Topaz, Iridescent Purple, and Emerald

Bottom Row:

Vanilla, Caramel, Morocco, Deep Plum, and LBD

A duo ended eyeshadow brush is also included.

The pigmentation is pretty good.

The only color that doesn't last as long is Iridescent Purple. 

If you use a purple base it prevents the shadow from fading.

Here is a picture with a purple base on the bottom lash line.

I used Maybelline's Creamy Beige Color Tattoo on my lid.

My favorite colors in the palette are Glisten, Caramel, Morocco, and Deep Plum.

Overall, I really like the choice of colors and highly recommend it for different everyday looks.

The colors blend really well together and compliment all skin tones and eye colors.

I'm a coffee drinker and these lip paints stay on my lips for about 4-5 hours.

Summer-Proof Makeup Essentials

Need makeup this summer that will stay put and can hold up in the heat/humidity?  Check out some of my favorite products that can help.

Foundation:  I love MAC's Face & Body foundation. It's waterproof and gives your skin either a dewy or satin finish depending on your choice of powder.  Light coverage but build able and the shade I use is C3.

Concealer:  MAC's Pro Long Wear concealer gives full coverage and hides acne scars, blemishes, and uneven skin.  It's long wearing as the name suggests and once set with powder, never creases and stays put.  You can also use this by itself as foundation.  I use the shade NC 35.

Powder:  Laura Mercier's setting powder provides skin with a shine-free finish and looks beautiful in photos.  I've used this powder in the hottest summers of all time and it holds up even when I sweat like crazy.  It comes in translucent and is universal for all skin tones.

Bronzer:  If you read my last post then you know how crazy I am about Milani's bronzer in Glow.  It gives skin a silky sun-kissed glow and is very easy to blend.  Perfect to contour with or just to warm up the face.

Eye Primer/Shadow:  Maybelline's Eye Studio Color Tatoo can be worn alone as a base or just as an eyeshadow. Very long wearing and come in several beautiful shades.  I love using the shades Tough as Taupe and Barely Branded for a quick look.

Cheeks:  Becca Beach Tint Souffle in Lychee/Opal is an amazing product.  It's a sheer and luminous blush that can be used with your fingers or brush for a summer glow.  Easily blend able and doesn't wear off throughout the day.  Best of all, it doesn't look greasy and dries to a soft powder finish.

Lips:  Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte lipstick is perfect for those of us who hate touching up our lipstick/gloss throughout the day. It's a long wearing and creamy formula for the lips. I use the shades Baby and Calypso which are perfect shades for summer or all year long.

Brows:  Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow will keep your brows put no matter how much you sweat, work, or workout.  This stuff is waterproof and keeps my tiny brow hairs in place. I use either #20 Light Brown or #30 Dark Brown depending on my mood.

Makeup Setting Spray:  The infamous Urban Decay All Nighter makeup setting spray is a must to keep your makeup fresh and budge-proof.  It truly does keep my makeup in place for hours.

This foundation gives amazing coverage, is affordable, a perfect color match, and looks amazing. 

Shade-F300

It's made especially for Asian, Middle Eastern/Mediterranean complexions. 

It contains light particles which hide lines, wrinkles, and blemishes.

Comes in 5 shades (F100-500).  

The foundation blends evenly into the skin with a natural effect.  

It claims that the formula doesn't clog pores and is 100% oil & fragrance free.  NOT TRUE.

  This foundation broke me out so bad and left me with painful acne.  

It took my skin a few weeks to recover.  The ingredients in the formula just didn't work with my skin.
