Laura Geller's MATTE MAKER Invisible Oil Blotting Powder

Total Shine Control?

So now that summer is practically here, bring on the oily, shiny face...eeeek!  I got so frustrated with translucent powders and mattifying gels that claimed to prevent that shine throughout my T-zone.  There are countless products that may work for some, but many have failed and done nothing for me.  I have extremely sensitive skin and needed something that would control my shiny T-zone without causing breakouts.  So let me introduce you to Laura Geller's Matte Maker Invisible Oil Blotting Powder.

What it is:  It is a sheer powder that absorbs oil to produce an even, matte finish on the skin.

What it does:  Even though it looks white in the pan, it goes on very sheer and smooth to set your makeup without a ghostly, caked on, powdery look/feel.  It can be worn under or over your primer, foundation, or tinted moisturizer.  It's different than a regular translucent powder because it feels like a silky veil on the skin and it blocks sweat and moisture as well.

Suitable for what skin type:  This product can be used for sensitive, oily, combination, and normal skin types.  For dry skin users, it's important to apply the product ONLY where you produce shine by using a large powder brush for a much more sheer application.  So far I have been using this powder for 2 months and have not had any clogged pores or breakouts anywhere.  I clean my makeup brushes every week and always use clean hands when applying my makeup.

Comparable to:  Urban Decay's De-Slick In A Tube Mattifying Gel and powder also work well to keep your makeup shine-free but  have caused severe breakouts on my skin.  This is the main reason why I stopped using that line of shine control products.

Have you tried it? Comment below!
